Pioneer of Thai specialty coffee since 2003. Our beans are grown by Akha hill tribe farmers in the highlands of Chiang Rai.
Our Story
Doi Chang Coffee was born from a vision to transform the lives of hill tribe farmers in Northern Thailand. For decades, the Akha people of Doi Chang village relied on opium cultivation. When the Thai government encouraged crop substitution, coffee became their path to a sustainable future.
Today, we work directly with over 200 farming families across the Doi Chang highlands, paying 40% above market rates and providing technical training in specialty processing methods. Our focus on micro-lot production means each batch is fully traceable to the specific farmer and plot.
Our roasting philosophy emphasizes bringing out the natural terroir of Northern Thai coffee—expect bright acidity, floral aromatics, and a clean, sweet finish that showcases the unique character of high-altitude Arabica.
